Dr. Thaker has trained extensively in the musculoskeletal radiology since 2015 and is currently pursuing extended clinical fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, working closely with Dr Harun Gupta to achieve a shared goal of spreading high-quality education globally. He has completed his general radiology residency in India which was followed by a year-long musculoskeletal fellowship in Mumbai under mentorship of Dr Daftary prior to obtaining FRCR qualification in 2018 and relocating to the UK in pursuit of advanced musculoskeletal radiology training. He is a proud recipient of the prestigious European School of Radiology visiting scholarship with which he has attended Medical University of Vienna enhancing his skills especially in fields of advances in musculoskeletal radiology and research.
He enjoys all facets of musculoskeletal radiology including soft tissue sarcoma imaging, musculoskeletal interventions, rheumatology, spinal imaging and musculoskeletal trauma. He is a member of multiple societies contributing to the subject including BSSR, ESSR, ECR, RSNA, MSS (India), IRIA and KSUM and also an active member of an exclusive ESSR young club.
He is particularly passionate about musculoskeletal radiology research and education. He regularly contributes to undergraduate and registrar teaching using various online platforms and in-person basis. He is a well-published author with 17 publications in peer-reviewed indexed journals and a reviewer for numerous musculoskeletal radiology journals. He is a regular speaker in India and UK based conferences. His most recent lecture on ‘Why I should do an MSK fellowship?’ is very-well received by UK radiology registrars. He believes in continuous and unhindered propagation of musculoskeletal radiology education and makes constant efforts to achieve this goal.
